WHO WE ARE
I'm Katie! I grew up in the beautiful mountains of southwest Virginia and am blessed to have watched my parents model the love of Jesus for as long as I can remember. I surrendered my life to Christ at age 8 and began traveling the world to share the message of Jesus in middle school.
Since then, God has allowed me to serve in Romania, Mexico, Houston, Argentina, and Zambia as well as in Nicaragua. Through each of these experiences, the study of His Word, and my personal relationship with Jesus, I have consistently seen God's heart for the nations and His desire for His glory to be made known.
I attended Liberty University and received a degree in Inter-Cultural Studies. I later got my teaching license and spent 4 years teaching in public elementary schools, then went to culinary school and worked as a pastry chef for almost 4 years.
God has shown me how each of these parts of my story have prepared me to live and serve as a missionary, showing His unfailing love to a people who are desperately hungry for the hope He gives.
We partner with Because We Care Ministries, and together we have an amazing team on the ground in Nicaragua. They serve as interpreters, teachers, cooks, drivers, and pastors, but most importantly, they are our brothers and sisters,
co-laborers in the work of the Gospel!
When I'm not in Nicaragua, I continue to work with Spanish-speaking families in my hometown of Roanoke, Virginia. God is continually opening doors and providing paths to relationships with individuals, organizations, and churches who need hope! Go. Tell. Love. is providing physical and financial support to many families and seeking new opportunities to share the Gospel and obey Jesus' call to make disciples.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Jesus is the only One who can change lives.
As an organization, we believe that the Bible is the holy, inspired, and inerrant Word of God. Through His Word, we learn that every human is a sinner who deserves eternal punishment and separation from our holy God. The Bible also teaches us that, because of His incomprehensible love, God sent His only Son, Jesus the Messiah, to take the punishment we deserve in the form of death on a cross. As a result, we can be reconciled to God, walking with Him on this earth and spending eternity with Him in heaven. It is our joy and responsibility to share this news with others.

We work with women and children in and around Somotillo, Nicaragua, partnering with Because We Care Ministries to share the message of Jesus and roll back the darkness.
